The mentor provides expert guidance to help the mentee strengthen their financial model, ensuring projections are ambitious yet defensible, and clearly outlining the use of funds and the return-on-investment for the capital sought. A significant portion of the session is dedicated to developing world-class investor materials, including the pitch deck, which must clearly articulate the problem, solution, market size, business model, competitive advantage, and exit strategy. The mentor also addresses the mentee for the due diligence process, identifying potential red flags and ensuring all legal, operational, and financial documentation is organized and ready for scrutiny.
